1. Our Commitment
At Brightside Cleaners LLC, the safety of you, your family, your pets, and your workplace comes first. This policy explains how we select, use, store, and disclose information about the cleaning products we bring into your home or business.
2. Products We Use
We use commercial and household cleaning products that are appropriate for the surfaces we clean, following each manufacturer’s label instructions. We select products with safety and effectiveness in mind, and we are happy to share the specific products we plan to use in your space on request.
We do not claim that our products are “eco-friendly,” “non-toxic,” or certified by any particular program unless we can support that claim in writing. If you have a specific product preference or sensitivity, let us know in advance.
3. Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
For any chemical product we use in your property, the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available on request. Contact us and we will provide the SDS for a specific product so you can review ingredients, hazards, and handling instructions.
4. Allergies and Sensitivities
Please tell us about any allergies, asthma, chemical sensitivities, or medical conditions before we begin. When notified in advance, we will make reasonable efforts to:
- Use fragrance-free or hypoallergenic products where available;
- Avoid specific ingredients or products you identify;
- Adjust the cleaning approach to reduce exposure.
We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment, but we will work with you to minimize risk.
5. Children and Pets
- We store products in closed, clearly labeled containers and keep them out of reach of children and pets during and after service.
- We ask that children and pets be kept away from wet floors and areas being cleaned until surfaces are dry.
- Please secure pets that may be stressed by new people or equipment.
6. Handling and Storage
Our team is trained to:
- Read and follow each product’s label and SDS;
- Use only the amount needed and avoid mixing different chemicals (which can create dangerous fumes);
- Ventilate areas where appropriate;
- Store and transport products upright, sealed, and away from food, heat, and ignition sources.
7. Chemical Disclosure
We are happy to tell you exactly which products we plan to use in your home or business, and to provide a list of the products used during your service. Transparency about chemicals is part of our standard of care.
8. What We Ask of You
To help us keep everyone safe, please:
- Notify us in advance of allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions;
- Point out any surfaces or materials that may be sensitive to certain cleaners;
- Keep children and pets away from active cleaning areas;
- Tell us if you prefer specific products or would like us to use products you supply.
9. Emergency and Exposure
If accidental exposure, ingestion, or a reaction occurs, follow the first-aid instructions on the product label or SDS. In the United States, you can also call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or dial 911 in an emergency.
10. Disclaimer
While we take reasonable care in product selection and use, we are not responsible for reactions arising from undisclosed allergies or sensitivities, or from products you supplied. Our liability is further described in our Terms of Service.
